Add one .xlsx file (from Excel or Google Sheets).
Keep “The first row has the column names” ticked to get objects, or untick it for plain rows.
Click “Convert to JSON” and download the .json file.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Fizzdoc does the work inside your browser tab, using open-source engines compiled to WebAssembly and JavaScript. Your file is read from your device, processed locally, and the result is saved straight back to your device. You can check this yourself: open your browser’s developer tools, go to the Network tab, and run a job — no request carries your file.

What does the JSON look like?

Each row becomes an object such as {"Name": "Asha", "Age": 31}. A workbook with several sheets becomes one object with a key per sheet. Empty cells are null, dates become text like 2024-05-01, and TRUE/FALSE become true/false.

What happens to formulas?

Each cell’s last calculated value is exported, which is the value Excel shows.

Is Fizzdoc free?

Yes, and it stays free: no sign-up, no watermark, no daily limit and no premium tier. Fizzdoc is open source under the Apache-2.0 license, so anyone can run their own copy.
