Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Fizzdoc does the work inside your browser tab, using open-source engines compiled to WebAssembly and JavaScript. Your file is read from your device, processed locally, and the result is saved straight back to your device. You can check this yourself: open your browser’s developer tools, go to the Network tab, and run a job — no request carries your file.
Does editing lower the quality?
No more than saving does. Every change is drawn again from your original photo, so edits never pile up, and the photo is saved at its full size unless you pick a smaller one. JPG and WebP are saved at high quality; PNG is lossless.
Is the location from my phone photo kept?
No. The saved photo is a new file with only the picture in it, so hidden details such as the GPS location, the date and the phone model are left out.
Do I need an account?
No. Open the page, choose a photo and edit it. There is no sign-up, nothing is saved anywhere, and there is no limit on how many photos you edit.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. On a phone the photo stays on top, the tools sit in a bar at the bottom, and you can drag sideways on the photo to change brightness, contrast, saturation or warmth.
How do I make a photo square or 4:5 for Instagram?
Open Crop and turn and pick Square or Portrait 4:5, then drag the photo to choose what stays in the frame. Story 9:16 and Wide 16:9 are there too.
Can I add text in Hindi or other languages?
Yes. Type in any language: the Cute, Cozy and BIG styles include Hindi (Devanagari) letters, and other scripts, such as Bengali, Tamil or Telugu, use your device’s own font.
Is Fizzdoc free?
Yes, and it stays free: no sign-up, no watermark, no daily limit and no premium tier. Fizzdoc is open source under the Apache-2.0 license, so anyone can run their own copy.
